I am looking for a good place, and pretty cheap as well, for a pedicure. I have no idea where to look or ask someone. What place have you gone to and would you recommend it? Also I am looking at getting my hair cut, what is a good place for that as well?

cheap haircuts can be had all around town in barber shops. look for places with barbers poles, a lot of mirrors, chairs and staff with special haircuts. Price start from 6 kuai for a trim in the more dodgy places.

If you are a guy, make sure to specify them not to cut the front part off your hair short.

The high end hairdressers in the big city centre malls are expensive, but safer.
Beware of the offers of free haircuts, they will cleverly upsell you, and it can end up costing a lot. Expect to pay 500-1000 for a decent stylist. And watch out, they love to cut.
