Vegetarian - to be or not to be?

The Dudeson's (1106 posts) • 0

The human body (stomach an teeth) are designed to have a 70% vegetarian and 30% carnivorous diet. Let evolution do the rest and I don't think that there is the perfect way to consume the meat. Latest research has shown that vegan and I forgot the name the dudes that only eat road kill and ripe fallen fruits are in need in huge quantities of supplements (of which most are not very clean, or produced in the way these people demand...in short it is not very good stuff)...which sort of questions the whole thing for me.

About killing for food, that is a philosophical or theological question and I believe everything you use for food are equally alive, the plants and the animals alike, since in IMHO it would be hard to believe that god (if there is any, god, force or entity like it) would build a class society of which one being is more valuable than the other. E.g.: Killing cattle for food compared to a chicken. A cow can feed people so much more and longer than the meat of a chicken. So is the cow a higher being? (I mean away from Hinduism and Buddhism).

And to top all of it whatever you eat is tainted, pesticides (veggies), growth hormones, antibiotics and other crap (meat, eggs, dairy), toxins, heavy metals (fish and seafood) except organic food but even then you can't be sure, since there are too many variables and different regs. about what is organic.

So we are back at square one.

About the saying: "We are what we eat" I would turn that into "We eat what we can get" and "We eat what we can afford".

My meaning was..a plant, an animal, a human being Grow Up..upward, cause they're live..;any dead animal, usually go underground cause start to putrefy. And if i can decide..
Right Magnifico, the stomach needs energy for the digestion. My meaning is...try to eat 3 months vegetarian, then have a meat dinner. Try to do the opposite. Try to guess the statistics and the possibility to feel sick? In which case it will be?
This was to "demonstrate" that you can save, daily, that energy.
Of course, anybody can find bad vegetarian food and a better meat place, this it wasn't the issue.
Vegetarian food to don't be healthy have to work hard...oily food, no fresh ingredients, wrong preparations, extra sugar, extra salt.. In meat places is more easy to make bad quality food. Try to have a look how the chinese "cold chain" works...uaaaa..try to...sorry I'd prefer to stop here ;)
About the vegetarian dinner sample...I'd prefer to avoid this question..I repeat you..I'm vegetarian/I'm a chef ;) trust me, I eat super good, healthy and tasty, every day :)

To Dudeson. I don't trust in researches copied and pasted form the web, blinded. Try to google ciclyngnomads.
Mirko and Katya are around 40's, they're vegan/vegetarian by more than 15 years, they're bicycling by more than 11 years. They do feast once per week, they have a really good energy.
I don't post link about that man in India not eating by 60 years...he sucks minerals to get energy..

Good that you said that plants are alive.

2 easy questions:
Do you believe in God?
What's your diet?

"You are what you eat" is a universal truth.
Your sentences are relative to a condition, or economical, or about which level of animal you are talking about (or maybe you think that all animals are at the same level...are you married with a bonobo?)

try to get out of the square, it's not so difficult like it seems ;)

'Vegetarian food to don't be healthy have to work hard...'

not sure i agree. again, it depends how you define vegetarian because vegetarian diets can vary quite a bit. i bet you eat lots of noodles. noodles are unhealthy because refined white flour is a high glycemic food (ie linked to diabetes). and it's basically devoid of nutrients.

Basically I eat "outside" just once per week. When I eat "noodle" or is handmade fresh pasta, or is a good quality of chinese noodle from Dali.
Of course in any kind of diets there are more levels, like in everything (also animals). Why don't talk about the 2.400 kind of drugs in a common piece of meat? Or about the the toxins released by the animal while is dying? The question-topic was balanced. Now if the question starts to be...why vegetarian?..I'd reply with..."Why do you need to eat meat?"

Dazzer, if you have nothing to say, maybe you could shut up. Or you try to reach a record of brainless-no sense posts?
Your comment is that vegetarians are obese and with bad skin?? ahah

"Why do you need to eat meat?"
meat has things the body needs. many other foods don't. handmade fresh pasta, for instance.
