With the chinese car driving license C1, what kind of motorbikes are you allowed to have without taking another license?

In my country, with the car driving license you are also allowed to drive motorbikes up to 125cc. How does that work in China?

Moto (motorbike) is a separate licence.
I am not sure if 50cc is classed as moto.

Also be aware that there are restrictions that apply to some, if not all, moto in some areas of the city. I believe that some are not allowed inside the inner ring road.

I live in Dali though. I need a motorbike to go between Xiaguan-Old Town and surroundings.

So I guess I'll have to find a place where to take both the writing and practice exam?

Visit the local traffic police in Dali. They should be able to put you straight.

Does anyone know of anyone taking the 2013 motorbike test in English? I went to the centre booked the test and got as far as the computer before being told the new bike test hadn't been translated. The person who booked the test seemed surprised and I couldn't work out if it was because of a temporary problem with the system, or if they really haven't an English motorbike test.

I can believe it is the latter. From what I understand the bike test is the same as the car test, plus an additional 100-200 questions to learn the answers for. As so few foriegners do the bike test, I can understand how it may have been forgotten.

But on the plus side, you will stay out of hospital for longer.

@Encrypted I was told that Dali University has a car and motorcycle course. Now for shits and giggles ... I shipped my Ducatti to Dali and wanted to sell my Beijing A Jing plate and get a Dali plate....official in Dali asked why bother. Just ride it with out a plate ..... Sigh.

I've heard mixed reviews.. Some say it will take a month to receive the license.. others say they received it in the same day.. can you clear this up for me? ..
