Poetry anyone?

I'm in.
I agree with the others. Moondog is cool but too noisy and crowded for that.
As you like is a bit small i reckon.
Not in the north please.

Need a place when we could relax easy (can't really thinkk about a library).
Plenty of chinese bar, some 100m from Moondog, quiet and nice for exemple ! Or wenlinjie has good spots.

I'm in. Haven't written anything of late, but super supportive and have some interesting stuff to read, anyway. The arts in China as a whole, but also Kunming (despite its relative virtues in this area) need as much support as possible. I like Moondog, it's a cozy and unassuming venue. Seconding the idea of slightly-earlier-but-not-too-early so hardcore boozers can get their Vitamin-A on afterwards ;)

There is a bookstore/coffee shop on Wenlin Jie that used to host Toastmasters (can't remember the name), they only asked that we bought coffee. They might be up for it.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Agreed, the 'Dog is maybe no longer the right spot for poetry, and I was also thinking about the Mu Yu Studio, definitely a nice spot.

So how's that, lets get together soon, see how many people show up and have a chat about how we proceed.

How about Monday, 9 o'clock, Mu Yu Studio?

Everybody got time?
Ian

Me and fried would like poetry night to stay at Moondog. I agree that at the weekends Moondog is busy, but from Monday to Wednesday its not so busy. We have the sound system, wifi and free beer for performers.
