Are there places near Beichen that sell packs of frozen pieces of chicken breast (1kg or even more)? I've checked Walmart, Metro and a few farmers markets, but I only see whole chickens, boned pieces (wings, thighs...) or insides.

Our wet market close to the (now older) westside walmart has them. 20 rmb per 1kg bag. it's the walmart a couple of bus stops west of the westside wicker basket. at that walmart intersection, go north about 200m, the wet market is on the left hand side.

I have always bought mine in metro. Perhaps they are temporarily out of stock. Metro has more than one set of freezers, which causes confusion. There may even be freezers within the closed off area of the meat department.

My wife buys frozen chicken breasts all the time at Metro. Did you ask for them - - or just look around? Agree with TigerTiger - - if they didn't have at a particular time just meant temporarily out.

Ask at the wet market. We buy them frozen in 1 kg packs. Look for someone selling frozen wings, feet etc

Thank you all. There was a wet market on Beijing Lu and they had it. 17rmb for a 850g bag.
I didn't see them in Metro before, probably because I went there too late in the day. Will also check there next time.
