Does anyone know of any place near Kunming where it's very peaceful and close to nature where it's possible to stay for a few days at a time relatively cheaply (under 150rmb)? I'm just looking for somewhere where I can can go now and again to chill out and escape from the noise and distractions of the city. I know somewhere like Dali would be a good place to go but I'm looking for somewhere much closer to Kunming, preferably under an hour away. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

same here, do you have a bike we can go and find it together. i am interested in nature where we could sit around fire. Kunming is too dynamic sometimes. definitely need a place to balance myself

Anning is 25 km away from Kunming. You can take a bus from Xiao Xi Men to get there. There are many hot springs, hotels and resorts where you can stay from 100 RMB to 1000 RMB.

Fuxian Lake. Around an hour by car. Two by bus.
