Hi we'll be in Kunming for a few months and were wondering if there was much of a live music scene? My daughter plays bass guitar and has played with several bands in Hong Kong, and would like to find young people (ie late teens/students) to play with, or have the chance to sit in occasionally. Also, she plays guitar and is learning banjo and would be interested in music tuition.

Hi,there are many bars at Wenlin Street,and sometimes bands have a show in these bars,I think u can go there.Wenlin Street is a gathering place of young people,I think ur daught will like there.

There is another place always have a live music scene called Chuangku(创库)at 101#,Xiba street.

Hello eric.I am the owner of Moondog.I play guitar and sing.I play in my bar every night and i do many so called monkeyshow.
We need bassplayers in kunming at this moment there is none.
Feel free to come to the moondog (i am there every night) and jam a little or even perform with me.We need more bassplayers.
