Sometimes I'm sad to be American

Sometimes I'm sad there are mentally troubled people anywhere.

It's not the guns or knives, it's the sick people that do these horrible things. You can use anything to harm people. A sick mind is determined to harm. Remember all those cases here in China where they where using a kitchen knife to stab and kill children in schools? The government in the USA want to control and regulate everything. They want to track your every move. They want to take away your constitutional rights. They create 'false flags'. They create 'terror' to control it's citizens. Look at the abuse of the TSA. All in the name of protecting us. The true criminals will have no problem getting a gun and use it.

Put one mentally unstable person in a room full of swords, knives and baseball bats and another mentally unstable person in a room with one small handgun. Now choose one room to walk into.

You take away the guns and the country undeniably becomes a safer place. I'll walk any street in China in the middle of the night. I can't say the same for the States.

I have to say that this incident really made me rethink my position on guns. I grew up with hunting and guns. That is just the culture I came from. I always saw no problem with guns, because we were always raised to handle them properly, and to lock them up when not in use, etc. We also only used them for hunting.

I have to admit I do see a problem when a guy can get military assault rifles and mustard gas bombs and assault armor so easily, and just murder people like that. The 2nd Amendment makes specific reference to a militia, not just to anyone getting free access to military weapons. Just my thoughts.

Another sad thing in America is that way too many people are being medicated. It's a pill popping and drug infested culture created by big pharma and the CIA and military.

I knew this "sicko" would bring out all the anti-gun nuts. It's NOT the guns fault. Guns don't kill people. People kill people.

Shall we ban cars because cars kill people. Some "nuts" crashed planes into the World Trade Center and killed many, many folks. Shall we ban airplanes.

Folks like Hitler and Stalin banned guns - - wanted to control people.

I'm from Texas - - permit to carry a gun.

Have a ranch in Arizona - - also a permit - - but carry in the open is legal without permit. Good guys need to legally have guns cause the bad guys will always get them!!

As more people in the US die from accidents involving step ladders than guns, you logic demands stepladders be banned to make the US undeniably safer.

Perhaps cars should be banned as well. Half the number of cars produce about twice the number of deaths by firearms.

i knew this thread would bring out all the pro-gun nuts. safer to be around anti-gun nuts than pro-gun nuts. glad to be in china and not texas.

@Geezer I agree. That's why I use the example of the kitchen knife. It's not a question of being pro or con. It's about using it (guns) responsibly.
