I had never even noticed the "email verified" link so naturally my email was not verified (after 2 years). It is now!

Knew nothing about it until I read this thread today. Now it's done. Reducing spam is a worthwhile goal.

what about reviews posted with a [verified] one shot account and then never used again ? are they credible ? is that considered as spam here ?

Currently verification is a requirement for new users and optional for existing ones. In the (near) future users with an unverified email address will also be requested to verify within a reasonable period of time, or see their accounts deactivated.

lawlzomg + xb6asd both have deleted accounts now. I guess they were really one person using 2 different account names.

Why is this all such a big deal? I jumped thru a hoop or two a few months back to verify, just to calm some folks down - thought I got verified - now it seems it didn't work or I did it wrong or something. But I can't take this seriously, and may or may not go through the process again.

My Bad Alien - You are in fact verified. I failed to check prior to posting. Magni is the last one holding out like a (Ding Zi Hu).

However, the main point is that Neddy is gone, again.
