Hello!
Around July 10th I am in Kunming for a week. I lived in Lanzhou for one year and the clubmusic is boring. Popular music from Swedisch House Mafia till Tiesto... and from cheesy-chinese-songs-with-a-simple-beat till popmusic of 80's.
No any bad words about this styles of music. Respect to Tiesto and the Chinese songs.
But I like techno-minimal-electro-acid! :-) I searched on the internet for a technoclub; without any results. Kunming have a lot of foreigners... so there must be a nice club to listen and dance on 'quality' electronice music.

Actually kunming has a pretty healthy electronic scene. Every weekend you'll be able to catch at least one DJ playing more underground stuff somewhere in town.
We do a weekly electronica night on Wednesdays. We put on local talent as well as in town foreign DJs. We also have DJs that spin most genres of electronica including minimal, electro and to a certain extent acid every other weekend or so.
