@Billdan, haha...whoever said that "western teaching methods" were so easy as to not have tests etc. is either seriously stupid or misinformed.
In China I believe there are no assignments etc. only final (and maybe mid-term) exams. 100% of a student's final mark/grade is based on exams and nothing on assignments or classroom participation etc.

In all truth some of my students have told me this. None that have been abroad of course. They watch movies I think and see students in the US or Britain doing everything but study and I explain that those are films and not reality. I had a boy too who told me he wished drag racing were legal in China the "way it is in the US". When I said it is totally illegal in the US he appeared shocked and said he saw it all the time in movies. I think movies promote this false image of wild parties in the US, where girls run around drunk in bikinis, or less. Sigh, if only that were the case :(
Lately I have been hearing this thing about how China is different at dinners, because in the US everybody likes to drink at dinners and get drunk, but they don't do that in China. I don't drink. I abstain. And it has been a problem for me at times, with school lingdao. Just a few days i was told "You are not a man" because I declined a toast of baijiu. Then later asked :why did you not drink, since Americans always drink at meals". I dunno where this stuff comes from.
It is a goofy thread, and yet I have made two posts on it. This girl is no wall flower I am sure but it does not matter. I am old and married. I should move on to whining about food, something I still know something about.

I couldn't agree more, it takes too people to end up in bed.
So even if there would be the horniest guy on earth, trying to get inside the pants of a girl that just doesn't want sex, I am sure nothing would happen.
So let's say any girl that ever says: "That guy took advantage of me, he promised....", tried to take as much advantage of the guy, as he did, she just got less. But if their expectations don't meet it's a lack of communication.
We are all into this for some payback: hormones, money, physical attractions, fun, addiction, plain horniness, finding our soulmate, you name it.
If it goes bad stop blaming it on either gender. If he wouldn't take advantage, she would, or you get (un/)lucky and one or both fall in love.
So, if you don't want to have sex, just don't do it.
If you expect something from sex (or after), other than the satisfactions of your physical needs, you are the idiot.
Sex isn't designed for love and payig bills, or a promise of an eternal love. It's designed for pleasure and procreation, not for BS.
It's as easy as that.

I think it best to have sex with people you are not friends with, people you loathe and have zero in common with. That is the way we people in North America and Northern Europe do it. Unlike China where people never marry for money or out of pressure to get one in the oven ASAP.
