So I don't think it's because they considered my car insurance. Actually EVEN IF something happens, who would come to accuse Gokunming. haha...it makes no sense.
Let's say, if Gokunming had to consider whether every mandarin tutor who makes Ad. here has a Mandarin teaching certificate, let's imagine how busy Gokunming staff would be LOL.

Thats why maybe its best for people trying to make money by advertising on this site to have to pay.

Really it would sort out a bit of the confusion.

And that certainly would include many schools looking for teachers. I can't imagine why they should be given a free ride- except perhaps the state schools.

Top of my wish-list would be a working Search function, which lists results by date. This would stop 2008 articles being highlighted when I actually want to find something written in the last month.

that would mean an empty classifieds section and everyone having to search for them on other pages.
The readership of this page is basically renewed every year, because most foreigners in KM are students. Also it is illegal for foreigners to get a contract for more than one year.
That means tutoring/teaching/jobs etc. classifieds have to reposted all the time, and few people would be ready to pay for that I guess.

And seriously mate, if the classifieds confuse you... (insert sarcastic pun here).

GKM, please stop deleting posts.

Are you so sure schools and other businesses would refuse to pay even a stipend to find teachers? The private schools are businesses and are there to make money, and without gokunming where else are they going to go? If indeed they are unwilling to pay even a small amount then it just goes to show they see no value in placing ads in gokunming
The classifieds don't confuse me in the slightest Ian, and overall are only a small part of an otherwise excellent resource.

I also don't think it that radical for commercial advertisers to have to pay. Whats this about deleting posts???

Well GoK can and does delete forum posts. I guess that's their right.
But they don't have the transparency of at least placing a "deleted by admin" marker. So in any thread you read, you will never know if posts have been deleted. There is at least one deleted post in this thread, maybe more, but the reader will never know.

20+ forum post threads take a long time to load or post in.
Is this just a problem with my browser?

In general, Gokunming manages the website well (except the exclusivity agreement before). Any school, bar or company who is willing to and can afford to pay can put their ads. on the mainpage like Keats, Myfavour etc. which is able to keep stable business. The ones in classifields are free for individuals. If any information in classsifields were to be charged, I guess the classifields would be empty. It's true it could sort out a bit of the confusion if all were to be charged. What if all men should be shaved bald in order to sort out a bit of the confusion with women...

I know of women with shaved heads and women with no hair. Apart from Sinaed O'Connor that is.

There needs to be more information about events that are not just created by foreigners. There was a festival last weekend with a funk band from pakistan. The band told me There were no foreigners there. This is a band that fairly famous in the middle east. They have Youtube videos with over 500,000 views.

Is there a chinese person that finds events for you? I find it hard to believe that they could miss something like this.
