Does anyone know how to get to Anning from downtown and how long it takes? thanks!

are you going to the hot springs or anning town? take bus 17 from the bus station from renmin xi lu /xiaoximen to go to anning town, for the hot springs take 18. just go along renmin xi lu on the right side from xiaoximen until you see a bus station (not a stop) to your right. you'll see a lot of buses there.

no I have been offered a job in Anning and I want to know how far away it is and how long it takes to get there.

There is also a bus (#11?) from Xizhan 西站 (the old, now disused minor bus station on 滇缅大道 or whatever it is called now). The #17 from Xiaoximen goes to 昆刚 and turns off just before reaching Anning center, the bus from Xizhan goes into the center, IIRC. There is also a bus that goes to Anning's bus station, but I do not know where that starts from in Kunming.

Travel time is generally about 50min, of course depending on traffic, cost about Y7.

Take the No. 17 Suburban Bus at the Suburban Passengers' Terminal at Xiaoxiwen in Kunming to Anning City. It is located approximately 28 kilometers southwest of Kunming city and takes about 50 minutes there by bus.

How much is the ticket ?

You can take no 11. 12 or 17 from Kunming to Anning, starting point is 小西门客运站.
