There are a limited number of appointment slots for this visit. You must email us to reserve a time; please include your full name and what service you require. When your appointment has been confirmed, we will email you the time and location confirmation.

Limited American Citizen Services:

The consular officer will be able to perform a number of limited American Citizen Services. For some of these services, some of your materials may have to be brought to Chengdu for processing. Um..how do we book an appointment for Fri, 22 June 2012? The appointment website for that date is not available?

I think the website is for making an appointment in Chengdu. For Kunming I believe you have to email them:

@TIC you would need to ask them what limited number of services will be on offer. But I guess you would need to be more specific. I.E. you apply and they will tell you if they can offer that service in their visit to KMG. I guess they will not be doing visas for a start.

@TIC

Services available:
- Passport applications and renewals
- Passport add pages
- Certificates of Marriageability
- Notarials

Other services potentially available with advance notice - contact them via email directly to arrange. And as Colin notes - please don't whine at the consulate for the obscene sodomizing rates they charge us - the rates are set by the State Department, who incidentally gives BILLIONS of our tax dollars away to other countries - Iraq, Afghanistan, Philippines, Samoa, etc ad infinitum.
