Yesterday read the news about goog admitting to being hacked by a group based in China. Today China has posted a denial....and gmail doesn't work anymore (atleast up here in Shangri-la).

Is it the same down in Kunming? Getting a certificate error...but chrome browser also can't see the mothership...err...any google servers.

Sigh.

I'm having no problem with gmail except for the fact that's where all my SPAM arrives. It's working right now (I checked before posting this reply).

No probs here - but sometimes SLOW - you might try switching to HTML vs java (or whatever they use) view.

Slow internet is something I'm already painfully used to. Trying to access the site immediately gave an error - but good news, we're back on atleast for the moment!

I may be wrong but certificate errors can be time related. Have you checked your computer clock and cleared your browser cache? Could be that authorities are having a periodic sulk but it's worth eliminating local difficulties first.
