I currently have F visa for 6 months ( I did it in Beijing.) However, now I am in Kunming and was wondering is it possible to extend F visa for another 6 months here? Is there any agency that can do that? Thanks.

Yes, just go to Visa office on Beijing Lu. near Kunming Zhan. There is a place that allows you to extend visa.

160 Yuan for tourist visa extensions, not sure about the F visa though. You'd have to go and check it out. Also, the process should take 5 days and you can't seem to pay extra for a rush service.

No not possible in Kunming .They will tell you if you made it in Beijing so you have to extend it in Beijing with the company which sent you the invitation .Otherwise you can extend by converting it to X visa if you joined a Chinese school.

Company? What company? I just payed some guy (agency) to convert my L visa to F visa and to extend it for 6 months ( it was about 5000 rmb). Guess I have to do the same again. I guess it's possible in Guangzhou or Shanghai? I really hate Beijing, wouldn't like to go all the way there...
