Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone out there is interested in birding/bird watching. I am kind of a novice birder but would like to get out of the city and check out the local flora and fauna, especially the avian life. Let me know.

You can come along with us when we go paragliding on mountain tops and in rural valleys.
West of Anning on the way to Yi Men I always see raptors up on the mountain, I dont know what kind though..Fu Xian lake also..
Up on Dali's Cang Shan last spring we saw an odd looking phesant, not the usual ring neck; further up we met a group of birders from Beijing looking for that exact phesant. We stumbled upon it while they were searching..ha
Wattering holes/ springs are the keys to wildlife in dry spring time...
