I need to get to the airport very early tomorrow morning. Does anyone know if/where/how it is possible to order a cab in advance ?

When traveling in different cities in China, if I run into a "decent" taxi driver, I ask for his business card or phone number for subsequent transportation needs. In some cities, I have also seen a few cabs with a phone number displayed on the car body for that purpose.

Since you are going to the airport "tomorrow", you still have hours to prepare. If all else fails, I'd suggest going outside and stop a few cabs on the street, chat up a driver or 2 or 3, ask for & confirm his SHIFT TIME and phone number. If you live a good distance from the airport, it may be worth his while to make the run for you. Make sure you have a BACK UP driver or DRIVERS if the original one cannot or does not show up at the appointed time (That has happened to me)!

Public bus routes A2, 52 & 67 all go to the airport as the final stop (3-minute walk thru the airport parking lot to the departure terminal), but I do not know the time the buses start running in the morning.

Another suggestion: Call up a 5-Star hotel and ask the Concierge if he has a RELIABLE taxi company phone number you can call to "pre-order" a cab.

If you're on or close to a major street - just go out and stand where you usually collect taxis - but plan another HOUR in advance. Taxis are roughly 7/24.
