Thanks for that great information. I will look closely at that site. I know customs roms are being made on the Xda developers site. Seen for 1499 at walmart and same price on the xiaomi site too.

You can DL the Singapore rom which is all English after you get the phone. Google play is an easy install as well. Their website has it all there.
The build quality is perfect. Well made and beautiful.
The MI4 will soon be released which features the phone machined out of all metal with different colors. Even faster and upgraded the rom cache from 2GB to 3GB.
This is really the phone to own!
Thanks for the heads up. I will try and get that Singapore from though I cant seem to read the site easy with translate. If you have the direct link I would really appreciate that.
I noticed that there seems to be different chipsets. Snapdragon 800 or nvidia terra and different network support. I assume the Snapdragon 800 is the one to get as this has more rom support. Not sure about network support for outside china.
The chipset depends on which carrier you'll be using. The Xiaomi 3 version for China Mobile uses NVidia, and the rest use Snapdragon 800.
I believe the Xiaomi 4 out now uses a Snapdragon 801. Not sure about the one for China Mobile that comes out next month.

Good to know. I know we will not be buying it from China Mobile directly, so that should mean it is a snapdragon 800 which is probably good from a ROM supported side.
Get the MI3 WCDMA model, not the Chinese model. Then it can be used worldwide.
Go to en.xiaomi.com for the official English version website.
I had a Chinese friend take me to a shop where she said I could get it for 1499. I asked them if it was the snapdragon 800 WCDMA phone. They did not understand but said it would work abroad.
That wasnt enough for me as I knew the Tegra 4 chipset was not the one i wanted. In the end i gave up as it could not be clarified what the chipset was.
I will try and look for WDCMA and snapdragon 800 to make sure I get the correct one. If anyone knows the chinese for this, that would be great.
