Is there anywhere that sells a big selection of English fiction and non fiction, besides the Mandarin Bookshop???

they used to be fairly limited, but some time has passed since i saw their collection.

if you're into past-copyright stuff (Dickens, Bronte and the like) go check out a large Xinhua bookstore. i forget where the main branch is - maybe Dongfeng Xi Lu somewhere.

Main Xinhua is on the south side Nanping Jie (南屏街), the walking street in the city center. Big huge sign on the top of the building.

^Aforementioned past-copyright stuff is on the top floor next to the English textbooks.

Hey Mrytle, let me know what you are looking for and I'll let you know what we have. Alternatively, come visit the shop on Wen Lin Jie (few doors down from Ganesh). We have about 250 books now to choose from.
