I have read that there is an interesting secondhand clothes market close to the intersection Renmin west road and the 2nd ring road west.. Does anyone know whether it still exists and if yes, is it any good? Or if you know of any other secondhand clothes market which you've visited recently please let me know!
nothing? I have some clothes i want to donate before i travel. Doesn't surprise me if nothing like this exist. Chinese don't even like to buy second hand cars, before thinking of clothes.
chinese can buy second hand cars, but, we do not like to buy second hand clothes. and for us, second hand hats will give bad luck. we only take second hand clothes from our own relatives or when we are in disaster. if you want to donate your clothes, just put them in a plastic bag and give to hump bar or, give to those collect waste.
There is a great second-hand clothing market on the 65 bus line, on the map it's next to 昆明西苑客运站 on 科华路. I was there today. Lots of stuff for just 5 or 10 kuai. Good stuff, including lots of winter coats for 10 kuai.

Thanks kemeilin for uour explanation how to get there. I went today, it's easy to find and indeed great stuff for very little money. The plage is huge and they have a lot of different sizes and on top off all that even though it was Saturday it wasn't crowded at all!
I'm still having trouble locating the second hand clothes market. I would be very greatful if someone could post detailed directions. I think it's somehere on ke hua lu (科华路). Does anyone know what bus to take and where exactly on this street?

i ran past there the other morning, and i'm pretty sure that the block that the market used to be in has been demolished. if i find myself in the area again i'll give it a closer look, but don't hold out much hope that it's still there.

I haven't been up there yet, and I'm not sure which bus to take.
Went there this week, there is a huge second-hand market whose entrance is under the second ring road.
The bus line 8 goes up there, you can take it on Xichang lu, and you should get off at 交通学校. (check google map for other bus lines)
