Hello, I am an Australian going to Kunming next week, just wonder if the procedure for getting a licence has changed at all, is the multiple choice test still a requirement?
I watched some recent videos of foreigners applying in Shanghai where they just had to watch a video and that is it.
Thanks in advance.
Just an update to anyone in a similar boat, the advice I got from the traffic police car management department is that, you do not need to sit the theory test if you are going for the temporary licence, just need the residence permit, passport, translated licence, 1 inch passport photo plus the stamp for entry into China.
If you want the 6 year permanent licence, then you do need to sit the theory test but no road test required.
Yes, the multiple-choice test is still typically required in Kunming, but some cities like Shanghai have streamlined the process for certain applicants; check with local authorities for recent updates. CEO clansnames.co.za/nzima-clan-names/
