Apologies for a seemingly silly question, but is it possible to buy honey in Kunming? Locally/at the Carrefour?

We have stocked up on a few condiments etc, but wondered if we need to bring honey too. Fussy 4 year olds...

Hang out in the Wenlin Jie and Wenhua Xiang area for a few hours and you'll find out just how possible it is to buy honey.

The honey man is cool. You should definitely buy from him. The honey's not bad either.

But the honey in China is very thin. It seems watered down, no matter whether you buy it from the Honey Man or from a Honey boutique. I recommend bringing your own honey.

I disagree. The honey I've had here tastes just like in the States.

The Agricultural University of Kunming (www.icedynau.net) is quite famous for research of honeybees and honey. They harvest many varieties of Yunnan's honey and you may find several outlets in KunMing. You can phone their sales rep : 0873-3860781 (In Dali the Bakery 88 in BoAiLu stocks their honey as well)

Just take a walk with me ...i cant escape the Honey guy, Shangdong Man tou guy, or the ding ding tang guy.
