Hi,
We'd like our children (4yr old twins) to participate in a local preschool/kindergarten while we are living in Kunming.

I know I'll need to approach the school(s) individually, but can anyone tell me the names/locations of these in Kunming? Or recommend how I should go about finding them? I speak/read only basic Mandarin.

Any tips greatly appreciated!

i have no direct advice to offer regarding schools, but i'd say you might be wise to track down a local helper (GoKunming's classifieds seem fairly active) who can help you with research, paperwork and with talking to the schools.

offer them a day-rate or something, tell them which area of town you're interested in, and get them to line up a shortlist.

twins in a pre-school here will go down a storm. double happiness!

the other way is just to walk around your local area and check out the closest Kindergartens, there are a lot of them, you just need to get and and find the closest ones. Which are of Kunming do you live?
