I think the easiest thing to try is opening GK without a proxy. If you get the same error message, turn on your proxy and hit refresh. That may clear up the problem so in the future no proxy is necessary.

The connection reset is usually caused by the great firewall if sensitive words hit the filter. Are you using an encrypted HTTPS connection? Are you using a special DNS such as google's or are you using your provider's DNS? Does the issue also occur when you're using VPN?

Anyway, if it helps anyone, you couldnt access gokunming easily from greece (europe) last three days or so either: ”page doesnt exist” But its fine now, since yesterday or so.

Since the provincial psb gives out info here, this website wont vanish (unless the editors fu*k it up) , it probably got caught in the filter by accident.

I've been using Gokunming for a long time and something is definitely not right. Don't know what it is but it's there.
