Can't be stolen, the scooter looked like turd and the lot was full of scooters and they disappeared all in two days.Someone know if there is a official police parking spot, where they will bring the scooters? I just want my old, ugly scooter back.

i would put the 500 yuan fine somewhere closer to hearsay. but a delivery guy was fined 500 yuan in front of dicos last week. as far as retrieving taken scooters you will need to go to the chenguan location responsible for whichever part of kunming the scooter was taken from. so if it was wuhua qu then you need to go to the wuhua chenguan. at least that's what i've been told.

I found my way around this. I now bring my own pot of yellow paint and make a nice square around wherever I park my e-bike.

@mengna - ha! great idea. You may joke but that's pretty similar to what one restaurant in the north has done. A dividing barrier was placed in the middle of the road and as their other shop (ebike repair) is on the other side, they simply moved the barier and painted their own crossing on the road along with a parking area for said ebike shop. the problem is that it's the wrong shade of yellow. Now if you could get a tin of the actual paint that they use...
