We're a family of 4 looking to move to Kunming early next year. I'm struggling with what visa we need/will be able to get.

My husband will be working, but on his own business (internet-based) while in China. He also wants to meet with Chinese manufacturing companies as part of his work, to develop relationships and find out their capabilities.

We could possibly get an 'invitation' from one of these companies, but we'd like to stay at least 6 months, so I am assuming a single invitation would not be sufficient for a F visa of this duration? Or am I wrong?

Are we best to come in on an L? We'll be renting an apartment, so relying on visa extensions would be unwise.
