Jinghong and Xishuangbanna - it's warm.

I recommend to head east from Kunming and try to catch the last days of rapeseed blooming in hills of Luoping. You can stop at Stone Forest on the way.

Jiaozi Snow Mountain will most likely have snow cover that time of year, if you are in for that.

Yuanyang rice terraces would also be in season with water filling the terraces but rice not yet growing too much.

I wouldn't recommend Tiger Leaping Gorge or anywhere in that direction this time of year, might be cold.
