My wife hired a notary office in Beijing in order to get her Chinese birth certificate . We paid the fees in advance and they told us to wait

at least 45 days .we did everything online we never visit this office in person .however it is almost 2 months now and we didn't get the document yet, my wife start to worry as we do everything online,

and we are not in Beijing.

Is there any way to know whether

it's a real or fake office ? I

sounds possibly fake. The hospital where the baby was born should print the birth certificate.

I believe Zozo77's question relates to retrieving old birth certificate of his wife's, not that of their child.

For older people, getting that information might not be so trivial, considering China's history prior the reform age and early years of it.

I mean my wife birth certificate. She was born at home not in hospital, at that time Chinese authorities didn't issue birth certificate to the citizens.
