Advice of living costs/rental from locals, expats

Yesterday I took route 64 from Shi Da to the (main) train station about 5PM, Y1; took route 2 from train station to Jianshe Rd about 7:30PM, Y1. 101 and 85 from Wenlinjie to & from the west are usually, but not always, Y1 (both I think run from the North Train station), big buses, sometimes small ones in late evening. No bumpy roads.
So I dunno.

Amazing, thanks for the advice and opinions everyone, really appreciate it (and the sarcastic ones gave me a giggle). Hopefully I won't get murdered or have to resort to bathing in puddles but we'll see. The wages I've been offered are all pretty low. I look forward to arriving anyway,

Thanks

Bye for now!

If you feel comfortable you can ask or talk about wages. I'm not sure what low is to you but several people here have teaching experience and may give you an idea of what a normal wage is. I will give you advice on that if you want. You can pm me if you'd like.

I've known some people who have gotten stuck with really low wages because they were recruited and had never been in China and didn't know any better.

I have nice clean studio only 1,000 RMB a month fully furnished, spend only 30 RMB a day for food and drink. Easy living here. I live next to as you like off of wenlin jie. You can live cheep if you want. So many temptation around this city though. There is actually a place next to me that I left its 1,400 RMB a month big studio furnished. If you can handle the daily spiders that are the size of your hand.
