My cat is constantly in heat and it's driving me INSANE!!! Does anyone know a good vet's office or pet hospital that does a good/safe job of spaying cats??? Thanks!

I can recommend a vet on Baita Lu. I have always had a good experience there. You may need to have a friend translate if you don't speak Chinese.

We had the same probably. Never knew a cat to be in heat so much. On recommendation we took her to a "reputed" vet in town, paid a high price only to have him remove her womb and leave the ovaries intact. Later he seemed perplexed and said he did his job correctly. Finally he admitted he had made a mistake but we would not a free 2nd surgery.

She is still in heat and producing eggs and has no womb. it is not healthy for a cat but there is nothing we can do. we took her all over and no one had the competence here to remove the ovaries. they admit it. they say if we are "lucky" her ovaries may get infected someday and then they can locate them and remove them. wow.

In the end we get her shots now and then at the vet at yieryidajie animal hospital, not far from wenhuaxiang. They told us they would have removed the ovaries as well during the surgery, but that in KM in is not likely to get them out now. The shots do work actually. Once we went over a year with no issues. But lately she has had to have two trips back. These Chinese cats are horny.

Lot of people do not like the yieryi place as they say it is a school and a bit dirty. But to be honest those cleaner places are rip offs often. We once paid more for one of dogs at one the fancy places for two days than we did at the yieryi clinic. Charging money just to fill up water bowls if your animal stays there. Yieryi (as I call it) also helped us with some rescue animals that were hot by cars and with one cat that was hit they took care of him free, and he lived and is in my room with me now.

I forget the whole Chinese name but you can PM me if you want. I can hook you up with a vet we know who can get the ball rolling.

There is a vet on 虹山南路, on the right as you head toward 滇缅大道, who is pretty good, and not too expensive. Look for the young male doctor there: he has a practical and clever sort of mannerism that I like. When I took my cats there, he held them, took a look, quickly diagnosed them, and recommend a treatment, and listened to my concerns too. I think he is pretty good.
