The "Art of War" and martial art philosophy are two very different things. Actually, you are even plain out wrong, about a lot martial arts philosophies. Some, -even when attacked they don't accept or incorporate crippling or deadliness when 'opportunity arises'.
They are tools and last resorts, in a fight, when nothing else works.
I don't know what your master told you, but even by your own reference of the art of war, crippling or being lethal, if not absolutely necessary, would be cruelty and seen as bad leadership, and a waste of resources, waste of energy, exposing your strength -while you should appear weak and preventing yourself from gathering information.
If an expert taiji master could be verified by how muscular his legs are, they would wear shorts.
Muscles are only a tiny fragment of a good martial art base, balance, flexibility, speed, 'fali', posture, combination, speed, etc.
Also by your theory all women would be terrible fighters, right?
What you say about strong leg = good martial art is a little bit silly, plus muscle growth has very little to do with expertise.
I could study taiji for 3 weeks but have huge legs, suddenly I am a taiji master.
You master buddy may have been going to the gym, sleeping in close proximity to a nuclear power plant, or just used a high protein diet with muscle building exercises.
I could show you some of the best martial artists [even Bruce Lee] who are not looking like body builders.
Before people go crazy about Bruce Lee being muscular, he was in unbelievable shape, but he didn't have huuuge muscles, but a low body fat ratio and very, flexible, long and explosive muscles and incredible speed.
His body was mad but he didn't have a huge muscle built
I really hope, you are joking,...and me running into the joke..

Wait, wait, wait!
So Michael gives you no answer or help to your questions, but he somehow doesn't get the boot?
So, it's not about the answer it is about who answers and if you are in a romantic relationship, or how does it work?
Please, clarify so kunming knows how to deal with your next request for help. How can we serve you best, without being criticized, or waste your precious time?
No offense to Michael, but I don't see any answer to your question, or did he write a coded message with an address and a master's name, hidden in his text?
There's a place in Renmin Zhong Lu where they train Submission wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and MMA. I train there often, and the coach is pretty legit (national champion or something). It's quite cheap as well. Only 400 rmb per month. You might want to check it out, if you're serious about martial arts.
Of course, if Kungfu is your thing, then I guess that's not a place for you.
This is the coach's number: 186 6903 4483 (he speaks English). I think he might even be that guy from Ring King you mentioned earlier.
Somebody define 'Kungfu'.
Thanks Hehehe.
Those in the know don't need it defined, Those that need it defined probably isn't interested in kungfu. And since this is not to discuss kungfu, a definition is not needed.
So: 'kungfu' isn't wushu (martial arts) and so not to be discussed here? I'm not always clear about what 'kungfu' includes and does not include when the term is used internationally these days, but I am interested in what it has come to include over the past 45 years or so (I don't think it was used to refer to Chinese, or other, martial arts (wushu in Chinese) before that).
:0 not all fruits is apples but all apples is fruit,, some words in common usage change kif you really care wiki it
