@Napolean, goldie122. What word would you have used to replace traumatized in that sentence?

@AlexKM
Overwhelmed, overcame?
Certainly not traumatised
defined by Oxford as:
subject to lasting shock as a result of an emotionally disturbing experience or physical injury
How about just changing the sentence formation to read, didn't like, wasn't fond of?
Then he goes on to use ACCOSTED which Oxford define as:
approach and address (someone) aggressively.
How about Met, Greeted, Approached?
All of these words not in your average drama queen's vocabulary?
I'm not sure, that is why I asked about the child and how he was affected. I mean maybe he genuinely was traumatized or maybe he just got scared... I don't know.
You should learn a sentence or two in Chinese that is polite but firm and that you can quickly use to make it clear that this is unwanted attention. Ask some Chinese that you know, get it recorded, and practice it many times.
Then prepare for the many disgusted looks you'll get from these people!
But it's your kids, who cares what these people think, my policy is the kids well being first!
