Move to the US, marry an American woman and then report back to us.
fairness is not women having automatic custody of children in the event of a break up, fairness is not one parent having the power to deny the other parent access to their children, fairness is not one partner who has earnt $0 getting 50% or more of the other partner's money in the event of a divorce. Fairness is about having the same rights, protections, responsibilities, and rewards.
Indeed fairness works both ways.
Men in Ireland are crucified by so-called "family law". This perpetuates a lack of bonding between men and their children. One of the biggest problems in many Western countries. So yeah Im a feminist and a "masculinist".
Which men are supposed to be deserting western women?
My American divorce with my ex also having a professional job resulted in her getting 80% of all assets, including all my IRA savings and custody of my child. I had visitation rights which were never enforced by CPS and the courts when she refused visitation.
Sound fair? That's family law in the US. Nothing fair about it. To enter a marriage contract in the USA is instant disaster unless you spelled out a solid pre-nup. Even then I would not advise it.
Sounds like it's largely a US problem?
Families, within reason, are not a bad idea, but marriage is overrated. Many lawyers seem to have been born in Hell, and are in a hurry to get back there.
To stick up for the females here, there are plenty of guys around fleecing women with money
Yeah, they use lawyers too.
