Happend 2 me second time, when somebody posts a job about English corner.
I send a friend request ( wechat ), contact person adds me in, but when I ask some question about the job, no reply. Is that the collecting foreign wechat friends "huodong" now?

While there do seem to be people who collect resumes for various reasons, and recruiting firms that are overly secretive, there's another thing that happens a lot around here, which is poor communication.
I was accused once of running a resume farm. A friend of a friend had just opened a large resort complex, and was looking for a good foreign chef. I put up ads on several expat sites around the country, and the queries started rolling in. I went back to the friend to ask about details such as salary, duration, name of company, etc (all of which I would have been happy to give), and never got an answer. Apparently the boss got caught up in some other stuff, and ended up finding his chef through some other route.
Be careful about translation/editing firms— they usually want you to edit a short piece as part of the hiring process, and then once you send it back you never hear from them again.

I was on interview with homestaychina
I was asked how would I bring more foreigners to KM with their program ( service ), how to develop their business etc. My overall explanation of biz strategy wasn't good enough, they wanted to know exact process in details ( basically all my know-how ) upfront. Which means, they were not interested if Im capable do something for them but just looking for an advice, new idea etc.
I met already few more foreigners who went there as well and never got an answer ( Yes/No ). They might hire someone probably at the end, but I found it as very cheeky way of getting the valuable information. The said is, interwier was a foreigner and I dont thing He was completely honest with me:-(
