Hi,
With the long weekend for dragon boat festival coming up I've been looking for trips out of the country to escape the worst of the 300 million people on the move during those days.
There's a lot of touting about KMGs connectivity with the outside world, but generally it seems it's a monopoly owned by China Eastern. Only expensive tickets that can only be booked through their website, and mostly operating overnight.
Does anyone have advice on a good deal or a destination well connected to KMG where you can shut off on a beach or jungle for 3 days?
wherever you decide to go, check out Air Asia. enjoy your holiday!
I think there are direct flights from Kunming to Da Nang in Vietnam. Better apply for your visa quick, though.
im going to kuala lumpur and then langkawi. direct flights to kl on air asia for about 1200 rmb
Commercial air travel is nasty & overused.
korean air/thai air tend to be the cheapest. there are multiple guides online on how to abuse flight path systems then cancel the extra stops.
wth are you talking about fengzi?
He's talking about the practice of saving money by booking a flight that connects on to another destination after reaching your intended destination, and then cancelling the remaining leg of the trip. Sometimes it's actually cheaper that way, but it gets really complicated when you're flying international. And you can't take bags.
@Xiefei: you mean you can't check in bags, don't you?
Interesting - yet lacking any regard for the environment.
If you want to play it still, in some airports they will make you take your check-in luggage when you fly international, but of course you had better make sure that this is the case.
Point in case: PEK.
