Is today (Tuesday, June 2) trash burning day in Kunming? This morning my neighbors in the xiaoqu next to mine were burning a huge trash pile sending massive amounts of wretched smoke into the air. I figured that can't be legal so I asked our bao-an if he could do something about it but he gave an unintelligible response. Then I got to Yun Da and it smells like burning trash here as well.

So is today the designated day to ruin the air with choking garbage smoke? If not, is burning trash illegal and how can we report it?
