classes for 2 - 3 year olds

disco cindo (41 posts) • 0

I'm looking for recommendations on classes for English speaking toddlers.

It can be Arts, Exercise or Play based but our toddler has no chinese skills, so those taught (fully or partially) in English preferred.

My aim is for her to develop good social skills, friendships with other English speaking children and to learn something too ( open to what that is!!) .

If you have any advice or know of any classes, let me know. We are i the North, but willing to travel if need be. :)

Thanks in advance!

suggest only partially in English, so as to develop chinese skills - probably best chance she'll ever have in her life.

I know I am pimping the school I work for but First Leap has classes done in English by foreign and Chinese teachers beginning from 6 months up to 12 years their is a school of ours in the north by the walmart on the subway line

classes are 7-14 kids each their are other schools but usually they are 1/1 1/2 classes for this age (English classes) so they miss the social aspect

I think it is a ripoff but if parents are willing to pay for their kids to learn absolutely nothing - let them at it.

Some places charge astronomical amounts and teach very little, however let's not be too cynnical and tar every place with the same brush HFCampo. I did try a particular Music class that was so expensive and all they did was learn English songs... I can do that at home! Chinese classes with other foreign kids would be perfect!

Yes, especially if their are some Chinese kids around with which to practice it; & could work vice versa in English with them as well. Seems to me it would be a great opportunity all around.

our school provide Chinese and English teaching, and we have great teachers who understand Chinese culture, and we also have Chinese teachers who can speak fluent English, you can check from our website, we offer free sinology talk every week, and the talk will be conducted in English and Chinese

For anyone else interested I found a chinese class run through a kindy downtown (near Chaun xin gu lou subway station). Lots of songs, games and activity for beginner Chinese students. We only have 2 children (3 and almost 3) so far... so PM me if you are looking for the same. Classes are Tues and Thursday mid morning. Prices seem reasonable
