A great example. This week saw sunny days with blue skies with the exception of (I think) Wednesday that was very cloudy and cold. Thursday morning was also cloudy so people dressed and prepared for the cold. However, by midday, it was sunny with blue skies again. Unfortunately, all those people who dressed for Siberian weather will not remove any clothing articles all day long. What they do is open all windows so they can feel cooler since they did not dress appropriately. For those who have been in Kunming for more then one season, you know that it is warmer outside because of the sun then it is inside the concrete building.

This is because chinese suffer from both Delayed Gratification and the Little Emperor Syndrome.

I've been here awhile - yes, in Kunming it's hard to judge what the temperature is going to be a couple hours later - that's the way the weather is here, don't think you can change it.

Even in summer, when there's a lot of sun, you only need to walk along the 10 metres of shade between two buildings to feel like it's winter again.
