Recourse for problems with missionary colleagues?

Put in in reverse. If a Christian parent paid for his or her son or daughter to attend a Chinese school to learn Chinese, and the teacher was having secret Buddhist meetings, against the contract, and loudly praising Buddha and giving secret Buddha books, wouldn't that parent be a bit miffed?

i could be wrong, but the parents will not necessarily think it's a bad thing as christianity is perceived as something positive by most people.

As already pointed out, children are very susceptible to new ideas. Teenage angst if often exploited by religious groups, even if they are not overtly aware of what they are doing, they are taking advantage.
Teachers who 'recruit' children into a faith, are abusing their position of authority even if they don't realise it.

Also, people who openly flout the rules by publicly blessing people in the office are fundamentalist Christians and proud of it. Anything you say or do to try and stop them will be seen as 'the Devil's work' or 'a test of faith'. They do not see you as a friend, but a colleague who is a potential convert. If you stand against them you will soon find this to be so.

If the school was set up by missionaries, then standing up and being counted will only see you getting managed out. If it is not a missionary school then you cannot stop them without getting the authorities (or media) involved. In fact K6 (Kunming TV channel 6)might love this story (cable box channel 23). Either way, if you open this box you can expect a maelstrom.

The best alternative would be to move on.

Not much different to Henry VIII insisting on replacing the Pope as head of the church in England. He got a new wife and we lead a different life to the rest of Europe. King Henry's 'religion lite' worked out ok.

well, i got the short end of the stick.

alien, people should think for themselves and make informed decisions. brilliant idea! except that they already thought of that. and that's why....

What exactly do Atheists and neo-meditators/spirituals see as evil in Christianity?

Teachers pushing religion doesn't really work, students have minds and are not going to believe it if they don't have a feel for the idea of the religion in the first place.
I had to sit through Religious Education classes twice a week all through my time in high school and have never thought of it as anything but old hat!
