Americans: what do you do about health insurance

@all americans
the IMGdeal also includes the states if your registered housrhold is outside the states. and you are not living for more than 180 days in the states. so if you are studying here or living here it.s not too bad.

i pay for my wife and I (our baby daughter is covered free,for the first year).
around 1600kuai month. if you are young(er)...(than me)...you can get their bronze plan for 800 kuai a month.

to be correct if you want to get the annual price, coz for annual payments the charge 1400rmb per month...we chose the quarterly option.

To clarify, Chinese hospitals generally do not accept US insurance cards when it's time to cough up the cash, but most insurance plans will reimburse you after the fact.

I'm with NOW! Health which covers worldwide and in China. I've a deductible of 1000 USD on every medical expense and the health insurance costs about $1450 for a year. Never really needed it so I can't tell how well they perform when it comes to it.

how the hospital and insurance company handles, it varies. some pay up front or they will call the hospital, which sends the bill. but direct billing usually adds to the premium.

we have NIL deductible. we could have gotten a higher deductible and a cheaper premium. but since family doctor visits are cheap and only the serious illnesses can lead to high hospital bills, we figured no deductible is a better deal.

our plan is worldwide including the US (stay limit 6 month), not that i would need it but just sharing.

Can someone explain something to me so I can understand it?

Bronze = 10,000/year
Silver = 20,000/year
Gold = 30,000/year ???

If I pay 20,000 RMB for insurance for 1 year - what do I get at the end of the year - If I did not get sick or need any type of services?
