What exactly constitutes the pictorial avant-garde of Europe in the 20th century? This is the question to which the renowned Musée Unterlinden of Colmar has attempted to find an answer, by means of a selection of works taken from its collection.

Picasso, Alechinsky, Braque, Delaunay, Vasarely, Léger, César, Poliakoff: a selection of approximately 30 works hailing from the prestigious collection of the museum shall help draw up a formidable overview of the boundless creativity of 20th century European painting.
