Come join us for our August Green Screening. For this month, we are very excited to have invited Kyung-Hwa Kim as our guest speaker for the night.

Ms. Kim will share with you the common hazardous ingredients of famous cosmetic brands and their link to diseases, as well as her green alternative household products.

Born in South Korea, Kyung-Hwa Kim has been in the salon industry for 30 years. She studied systematically on how to produce essential oils in Tokyo from 2000 then moved to China to pursue her career in the salon industry. Ms. Kim's life changed dramatically when she was diagnosed with stage III thyroid cancer. Battling with cancer, Ms. Kim began to research how her environment could have effected her and discovered that 80% of cancers are caused by harmful chemical ingredients in daily household products. She changed all the cosmetics and household products to green and healthy brands right away. Now, Ms. Kim has fully recovered from cancer and she has been working to promote green household products in China.

After the screening, Ms. Kim will demonstrate use of the green products she has been promoting with the audience. At the end, there will be some small giveaways of her green products.
