- the open group (22-person dragon boat and 12-person dragon boat)
- the local group (12-person dragon boat)
- the enterprise group (12-person dragon boat)

4 events:
- 200m straight race
- 500m straight race
- 2,000m round race
- 100m on-land race (introduced in the event for the first time)
