Mindfulness & Mindful parenting
Two 1/2 day of mindfulness practice with Erin.
In English and Chinese
Morning:
Learning the basics of mindfulness, and why these practices are NOT yoga or related to spirituality. We will learn the basic neuroscience behind setting intentions, breathwork and meditation, journaling, gratitude, mindful listening, reflection and deep relaxation.
Afternoon:
We will explore integrating our personal mindfulness practice to our parenting skills. This work is largely based off Dr. Dan Siegel’s book, The Whole Brain Child, which offers 12 brain science-backed strategies for communication with children. We will look at realistic ways of accessing progress with children, basic brain science, the connect and re-direct technique and non-judgmental parenting.
