From August 3 to 18 2018, Chinese artist He Libin was invited to attend the historic Pohoda Music Festival and the “Cross-Link International Performance Arts Festival” held in eastern European countries. With more than 30 artists from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Spain, the US, India and other countries, he traveled by train through Budapest, Trenčín, Prague, Kraków, Bratislava and other cities. They improvised performance art works on trains and urban art spaces along the way.
This lecture attempts to lead us through Eastern Europe from the perspective of a performance artist, to explore the history and current situation of this region, and to feel the diverse expression and charm of live art in the context of today's globalization.
About He Libin
He Libin, artists, curators, native of Yunnan Lijiang in 1973, graduated from Southwestern University in 1996, 2003 graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, the Nanjing Arts Institute postgraduate courses, now lives and works in Kunming.
He Libin's Performance focus on the body in time and space, the subtle experience, pay attention to the body of the exploration of the unknown, focusing on the concept of art and the combination of Oriental poetics.
