The Future of Dianchi

Description

For those who are interested in the Dianchi Lake - artists, ecologists, families or people from the community are all welcome- there’s going to be an interesting event next week. A panel discussion with the title “The Future of Dianchi”, held by the Sino-German project SINOWATER and supported by the German Consulate Chengdu and by the Kunming Institute of Botany (KIB)/World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF), will take place on Monday, 13th of June 2016 in TCG Nordica Kunming.

This evening event is supposed to be an open discussion and opinion exchange about changes and development all around the lake and to bring together people who are interested in topics around Dianchi.

The event will begin at 7:30 pm on Monday 13th June and run for about two hours. Host venue TCG Nordica is located at TCG Nordica Kunming (Chuangku/LOFT, Xi Ba Road No.101, Kunming). For those arriving by bus, take number A1/62/120/95/184/264 and get off at the Yongle Intersection Stop (Xiba Road) 永乐路口(西坝路).

Mr. Jens Kraus-Massé, Deputy Consul General, Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Chengdu, will moderate the discussion on the stage with three special guests connected to the lake. Meanwhile, Dr. Paul Wermter, Research Institute of Water and Waste Management at RWTH Aachen (FiW) /Project SINOWTER and Mr. Nickolas Clarke, Green Drinks Kunming, will both act as audience moderators inspiring participants in the audience to raise interesting questions and interact live with the panel guests.

Admission is of course free to all and if you plan to attend, first RSVP event organizer per e-mail: futureofdianchi@client-sinowater.net. The first 22 people to RSVP will receive a free drink at the event.
