The Yunnan Documentary Photo Workshop would like to invite a minimum of 10 participants to the award-winning Linden Centre, a nationally-protected traditional courtyard house/hotel/cultural centre at the edge of Xizhou, a well-preserved village in Dali City that offers full-immersion into authentic rural China and cultural sustainability.

Between us, instructors, Katharina Hesse and James Whitlow Delano have been documenting China for over 40 years, Katharina from her base in Beijing and James from his base in Tokyo.

Our focus is on personal improvement within your own
unique abilities, to help you build confidence. By the end of the workshop, you will have completed a photo story and the ability to go out into the world and create more.
