Tonight at Kunming University of Science and Technology Jay Brown from Lijiang Studio will be showing a film and leading a discussion about Rural Studio, an architecture project in the US. Here's what Jay had to say about it:
'Rural studio is a very intersting program in the US where architecture students go to a very poor area and research what is needed, then, in a team, design a solution and build it with their own hands — no outside workers. The idea is to suggest that something like that could be interesting for the university to do in Yunnan.'
