GoKunming users have chosen their favorite Spring City businesses and Yunnan travel destinations for over a decade. As the tradition goes, we start the nomination process for what is the fourteenth edition of this Best of Kunming reader survey.

Winner's from the 2021-2022 edition are automatically entered as candidates, while all other establishments will be selected by GoKunming users. After the nominations are tallied, official voting will begin January 17 and run through February 7. The final results will be announced the week after, just after Spring Festival.

Submitting nominations

Last year we prepared a new system to make the nomination process more accessible and interactive. Here's how it works:

• Find your favorite businesses in the GoKunming Listings section or through our improved site search. If the listing does not exist yet, you can add it yourself by clicking add listing on the listings page.
• Open the page of the establishment of your choice and click the nominate button.
• That's it! We will take care of putting each listing in the right category. Please note that only businesses located in Kunming can compete.

The seven establishments receiving the most reader nominations in each category will make the final cut, joining last year's honorary nominees, for a grand total of eight nominees in each group. Thank you to everyone in advance for your input!
